I was a middle child 'independent' and creative but the scapegoat so made myself scarce most of the time. I have been agoraphobic for a number of years and am still struggling to get out although making some progress I have 'blocks' and the description you gave about the brain resisting changes seemed an extremely accurate description of what I experience when trying to go to 'trigger' places. I need to be accompanied which is a problem trying to find willing or able helpers for the more difficult situations and the reactions when there are often very severe. What would you suggest to get past these blocks?
