When I quit fighting my addiction and accepted it. I gained power in my life. I sought advice from other people like me who had changed. I started to address my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, I could use again if I chose to, but for right now I make a different choice. It is simple but not easy. It is impossible to do this alone, the only way I can learn something like this is to be taught and then practice it. I'll always be an addict, but I never have to use again. (used for over 3 decades, got clean 3yrs ago) All you really have to is stay clean right now, and then make it to bed, clean.
