Hi:
Reading your post I felt like I so can relate. I just had this conversation with my husband today after a heated arguement (where I was called a bitch and told to shut up) about how our relationship cycles from good to bad. Same pattern,...don't know what's going to set him off and when. Then he comes back crawling asking for forgiveness. A good book that I purchased but haven't read yet is called Why Does He Do That?: Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men. Sounds like your husband is a lot like mine, and I truely believe he is a narcissist. I'm hoping it'll provide insight to how to handle his behaviors. I don't know if I helped, but know that you aren't alone.
