My wife and I have been married for 30 years and have 2 sons . 29 and my youngest is 24 .No problem with the older of the to, but, my 24 year old still lives at home and works full time , makes ok money, but he DRINKS.In the past four and a half years he has Totaled two cars . Thank god no one has been hurt.He didnt even get a ticket or a DUI . POlice werent informed of these accidents. He was so lucky ! He promised He had learned his lesson on drinking ,and drinking and driving. Well that promise lasted 2 weeks and he back to driving around drunk again. We just dont know what to do.He has never been in any trouble with the law. He really is a good guy ,but he needs to quit the bottle , and get straight.

Drunk driving
by: Anonymous

I am sorry to hear you are going through this..
Seriously though he needs to be not driving a car. He could kill other people.. I would hate to think he could be on the road. Losing his licence for a bit would be the best thing for us all.

Time for him to leave home and save for his own place.

Getting Help
by: Anonymous

Wow he needs to join alcoholics anonymous, or who will be paying the bills and court costs later? Time he took responsibility and left home. He also needs to grow up, and get help ASAP. If he doesn't get help there are some great courses for supporters of people with alcohol problems like Al-a-non. Highly recommended. Have been there with a family member and sometimes all you can do is tell them how much you care, but that you can't help them till they help themselves. Hope that helps. ( the member of my family got to the bottom before climbing back up with the help of a Higer Power).
