We believe in you.

What a wonderful thing you have done. It takes real courage to reach out. There are many people who are going through what you are and have lots of experience to help you through your journey.

I wish you strength, hope, and love as you become the person you are meant to be. Please, if you have not already, learn to lean on God.

We believe in you.

You are a VERY strong person and I admire you for it!

You just took one very brave step, and I must say I feel honored to have witnessed it. :) I've got tears in my eyes right now for you. You are doing something so brave right now that very few even attempt it.

There are good listeners here with warm hearts. There's almost always someone here that can relate to you, even when you think you're alone in your experiences. It is the perfect place to start to find a voice again if you feel like you can't yet make the first step towards talking to someone face to face about something.

The most traditional routes with recovery tend to be support groups, counseling, and reading recovery related materials. Counseling is best if you feel most comfortable talking on a one on one basis to someone that is committed to helping you and being a source of positive support. Support groups are best if you feel most comfortable sitting in on a group sharing similar experiences with others and being part of a group support system. And reading recovery related materials is best if you have will power of steel and good discipline because you'll be self guiding your own recovery process. The general consensus seems to be that a combination of all of these methods is the most likely to bring success. Personally I have found that to be true.

Don is starting a group soon and I think it may be perfect for you to start out with if he's still got room left. It will be done online so you can do it from the safety and anonymity of your own home. I don't think it's going to be meant as a replacement for therapy but I'm pretty sure it's going to be like an introduction on where to start.

I pray that you allow your inner strength to be a guide through your journey as you have allowed it to be your guide in this post. :)
