A psychology degree holder dumbstruck by this VERY INSIGHTFUL website!

I, as a psychology degree holding adult, always looked down on "Self-Help" books and sites, but this (despite being filled with jargon I see as Freudian and Psychotherapeutic which I generally disagree with) is the MOST INSIGHTFUL thing about abandonment and adult relationships I have EVER read!!! I have read upwards of 40 books within the discipline of psychology OUTSIDE of my degree to give a measure of the weight of this statement. As a child of abandonment this answered and filled in SO MANY questions I did not even know how to ask my partner, therapist, professors or myself. WOW!!! Thank You. Thank You. Thank You!!! We will, I believe, both thank you in the long-term!

Thank you!

I am in agreement. I am not a degree holder, but psychology is a passion of mine and I too suffer from abandonment issues from the death of my father coupled with my abusive mother. The articles and insights have helped clear up and make clear things I have struggled with for most of my life. In conjunction with my therapy I believe this information to be an honest break through in my own life. I am still listening to and reading through the website - but have spent the last few days absolutely dumb founded at the new information. I have also shared the site with others on a similar quest via email, and then again on facebook for anyone curious. Thank you ever so much for creating this - It will help many.
